The Project service allows you to manage all the core settings and resources of your Appwrite project. Use it to configure project-level options, manage API keys, register platforms, and define project variables shared across your apps and services.

Register new client platforms such as [Web](/content/docs/references/1.9.x/server-nodejs/project#createWebPlatform/index.html), [Apple](/content/docs/references/1.9.x/server-nodejs/project#createApplePlatform/index.html), and [Android](/content/docs/references/1.9.x/server-nodejs/project#createAndroidPlatform/index.html) so your applications can securely communicate with the Appwrite API. Create, update, and revoke [API keys](/content/docs/references/1.9.x/server-nodejs/project#createKey/index.html) to control server-to-server access with the exact scopes your integrations need.

This service also lets you manage [project variables](/content/docs/references/1.9.x/server-nodejs/project#createVariable/index.html) that are available to all your functions and sites, and update email-handling preferences such as disposable, free, and canonical email policies for your project.
